Puzzle Pause ("we", "our", "us") provides a mobile puzzle game connected to puzzlepause.app.
Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to provide the app:
- Account info: email address and optional display name (account also optional)
- Gameplay data: puzzle attempts, scores, hint usage, streaks, and league participation
- Technical data: basic app and device diagnostics used for reliability and bug fixing, such as app version, device type, operating system version, crash stack traces, performance diagnostics, and an internal user id when signed in
We do not collect precise location data.
We do not intentionally send puzzle guesses, puzzle answers, session tokens, email addresses, or display names to crash reporting tools.
How we use information
We use information to:
- authenticate your account
- save puzzle progress and scores
- calculate statistics and league leaderboards
- operate, secure, and improve app performance
- investigate and fix crashes or service errors
Authentication and storage
- Sign-in uses one-time email codes.
- The mobile app stores your session token securely on-device using platform secure storage.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information.
We may share data only with service providers that help us operate the app (for example, hosting and crash reporting), under agreements that limit use to providing those services.
Data retention
We retain account and gameplay data while your account is active and as needed for legitimate business and legal purposes.

Children's privacy
Puzzle Pause is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
